Challenge:
The Jewish Home and Care Center hoped to build a senior living home on land abutting upscale residential neighborhoods. Opposition from these same residents had, a few years earlier, defeated a proposal from another Jewish organization to build an expansive recreational complex nearby.
Execution:
Understanding that a key issue was to avoid confusion with the earlier unsuccessful project, the Lynne Broydrick Group visited every address in the neighborhoods to explain the senior living home and answer questions. Many neighbors said they were relieved to learn that the project was not a rehashing of the other project, bearing out the Lynne Broydrick Group's public affairs strategy.
Result:
No one appeared in opposition when the Mequon Common Council considered the senior living home. A group of supporters organized by the Lynne Broydrick Group attended and spoke in favor. The council approved the project. |
